The Chinese Characters are the date when the sketch was done “sketched in May, the year of Xinchou(as in Sexagenary cycle)” and followed by a hand-drawn fake stamp of an uninterested face at bottom left.

This is a sketch done with ink and watercolours on bamboo paper. At the time of sketch the plant was doing well, and the end of branch was crowded with blossoming flowers. They
seemed to be queuing and keenly looking forward to something at the same direction. I loved this scene and put it onto paper. The fake stamp added an interesting contrast to
the intrigued plant.

Japanese inkjet washi paper has been selected to imitate the
texture and bleeding effect of the original work.
